ZERO OLDTOWN EMISSIONS<\/p>\n

A LAGOON
\nOF ENERGY<\/h2>\n

\t\tSince 2021, one of AGNES’ goals has been to make the city of Venice<\/strong><\/a> and its lagoon, declared a UNESCO<\/strong><\/a> World Heritage<\/strong> Site, completely green<\/strong> by 2026 through the ZOE (Zero Oldtown Emissions)<\/strong> project.A part of this project has been designed on the Island of Tresse<\/strong>, located in the Venetian Lagoon, north of the Adriatic Sea<\/strong>, along the central-northern and southern coasts of the Veneto region. This artificial island, covering about 120 hectares, is situated in front of the Port of Marghera<\/strong><\/a> (one of the largest coastal industrial areas in Europe) and is intended for the disposal of dredging materials and industrial waste<\/strong> from the port, contributing to the expansion and elevation of the island’s surface.\t\t<\/p>\n

\t\tAn investment of around 90 million euros<\/strong> is planned to build a 143 MWp ground-mounted photovoltaic plant<\/strong>, capable of producing approximately 165 GWh of net energy per year<\/strong>, enough to power more than 55,000 households<\/strong>. In addition, part of the energy will be allocated to the production of 1,100 tons of green hydrogen<\/strong>, which can be used for mobility and logistics<\/strong> in the lagoon, through the installation of hydrogen refueling stations<\/strong>. This hydrogen production could also be used for the mobility of buses in Mestre and ferries in Venice.<\/p>\n

For hydrogen production, we have established an agreement with Sapio<\/strong><\/a>, an Italian leader<\/strong> in the commercialization and production of technical gases<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
